1.) Investment & Engagement Lead

Job Description

  • Our client is looking for a top talent with a venture building and management consulting background who is looking for a new challenge and looking to solve problems in the Startup and VC space.
  • The Investment & Engagement Lead is essential in supporting our client’s team on projects as they deliver quality service to their portfolio and other stakeholders.
  • The Investment & Engagement Lead will be responsible for devising strategies and investment plans and prevailing conditions with our client’s portfolio and how they can succeed within the africa startup ecosystem.
  • As the Investment &  Engagement Lead you will have a field of vision shared by a few others – you’ll participate in everything from the behind-the-scenes details to the big picture.
  • You’ll work alongside a small, agile but growing team from beginning to end, as your efforts will be designed to help companies in their efforts to improve and achieve growth.
  • The General Partners of the VC Firm are in the process of engaging strong LPs including major Development Finance Institutions, HNIs and Endowments with billions of dollars in capital for both debt and equity finance.
  • The candidate will lead this engagement process and the necessary documentation to close the Limited Partner engagements.

Duties and Responsibilities
The job holder’s duties and responsibilities are outlined as follows:

  • Perform financial due diligence and analysis on prospective projects and recommend an investment decision.
  • Develop an investment policy aligned to the strategy and an investment criteria for evaluating prospective projects.
  • Creating financial models that enhance return on investment of projects and financial planning.
  • Preparation financial documents for presentation to potential and current investors on specific investments- bank applications, Proposals, information memoranda and prospectus
  • Analyzing portfolio accounts and financial projections and advise on how to best position it’s investments.
  • Provide updates on financial/commercial engagement activities in order to right position the company in the local and the global market.
  • Liaising with industry stakeholders and regulators to expand funding access while improving portfolio and business perception.
  • Conducting market research on the industry and gather market intelligence to enhance management of funds.
  • Lead and be involved in design, business analysis and mind mapping and portfolio formulation processes

Our ideal candidate will be an intrapreneur, ex-entrepreneur and/or advanced management consultant who can function as a Builder and an Operator and take ownership of the success of a VC Fund Pipeline.

  • Bachelor of Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Management, an MBA will be a huge advantage.
  • 4 – 5 years relevant work experience.
  • Experience, interest, and aptitude in finance and general business management.
  • Keen interest in the VC Space and general interest working with start-ups.
  • Strong communications (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office programs-Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Attention to detail and timeliness in delivering on commitments.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with experience solving complex problems and communicating findings.
  • A good collaborator.

2.) Job Title: Sales Executive (Real Estate)

Location: Lekki, Lagos

  • Perform comparative market analysis to estimate properties’ value

  • University Degree in Estate Management, Real Estate or a related major
  • 1 – 3 years of work experience.
  • Proven working experience in sales or understanding of the real estate market
  • Proven track of successful sales record
  • Ability to work independently combined with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong sales, negotiation and communication skills
  • Pleasant and trustworthy
  • MS Office familiarity, putting together concise and elaborate emails to customers

3.) Job Title: Business Development Consultant

Location: Lagos Mainland, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The Business development Consultant will play a crucial role in the success of Talentsquare as an organizational consulting firm.
  • You will generate new sales leads, negotiate client pricing, and forecast sales revenue.
  • Your core objective in this role is to help Talentsquare maximize on growth and profits
  • Among other responsibilities you should be able to evaluate current sales performance and identify ways an organization can expand and grow. Consequently, our ideal candidate is someone who is self-motivated, goal-oriented, and commission-driven.


  • Setting goals and developing plans for business and revenue growth
  • Writing and putting together personalized proposals for potential and our present clients
  • Researching, planning, and implementing new target market initiatives
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
  • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
  • Researching prospective accounts in target markets
  • Pursuing leads and moving them through the sales cycle
  • Managing accounts of prospective and present clients
  • Setting goals for the business development team and developing strategies to meet those goals
  • Attending conferences and industry events

Other Requirements

  • BSc / BA in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field
  • Proven working experience as a business development manager or Business related role that is/was sales or business development related
  • Proven sales track record
  • Experience or understanding of the Human Resource operations or worked in a HR consulting firm in an engagement personnel or project is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, cloze, hubspot)
  • Proficiency in English
  • Can put together concise and straight to the point emails or documents that present our solutions to businesses
